Any thoughts? Is the pre-filter really worth it? Is it worth the extra expense in filters to go with the BAOSHISAN? Thanks! Mike, New Jersey, USA. The filters for the BAOSHISAN are very expensive. The only hang up I have is the price of the filters. Overall, the BAOSHISAN seems to be a better quality build. Both feature flexible hoses with a snorkel head. The BAOSHISAN is quite a bit more money than the KOTTO, though I am not deterred by that outright. The BAOSHISAN also features a "pre-filter". I've read the reviews and watched YouTube reviews on the KOTTO (non are to be found on the BAOSHISHAN), and the seem pretty favorable. The specs on both units are similar: BAOSHISHAN Fume Extractor Soldering 3 Stage Filters Desktop Smoke Absorber KOTTO Strong Suction Hose Fume Smoke Absorber for Soldering, Electric Iron Welding, 3d Printing Extractor Absorber Remover DIY Extractor Carbon or HEPA Filter Both feature a combination HEPA/Carbon filter (though the KOTTO it is optional), and both use 40W fans. This also means venting to outside can be problematic. I live in an apartment and do not currently have a dedicated workspace, so I am looking for something desktop and portable. Hot plate desoldering of power boards can be especially bad, since it can produce an especially noxious acrid smoke (you probably know exactly what I mean). ![]() I do a lot of desoldering to salvage components, which can include vacuum gun, hot air, and hot plate. Truck camper boondocking images8/10/2023 ![]() Jonathan was working with a camper mounted in his Toyota Tacoma a camper he nicknamed the ‘Slumber Queen’. If the tiles don’t have a clean surface to adhere to, and they are exposed to heat too soon, they are likely to unstick, which could cause them (and, in this case, the spice rack) to come falling down at an inopportune moment. I do love the idea of the stick-on spice rack below the range hood vent as well, but I’ll offer a word of caution on that from my previous experience: you’ll need to thoroughly clean the wallpaper before installing stick-on tile and you should allow it to adhere for about 24 hours before using the RV range. That’s a great move because it doesn’t cost much, it’s easy to install, it will protect the walls and wallpaper underneath, and you can easily pull it off and change the look if you want something else down the line. And in this case, they also installed white stick-on tile as a backsplash in the entire kitchen. You may be noticing a theme in some of my selections, but I can’t stress enough how much white paint can really brighten up an RV or truck camper. It’s one of the best before and after posts I’ve seen, because the difference between the old and new is really night and day. Truck Camper Interior Idea #5 from This exciting interior remodel is all about the kitchen. ![]() This kind of multi-purpose thinking is what helps you keep your cost down when you remodel a truck camper. Plus, it looks like they were about to use the same materials with curtain rods to hang curtains over the kitchen window and the window next to the cabover bed as well. This keeps what can often become cluttered RV cabinets out of sight and out of mind until you need something they contain. I also love the curtains hung inside the open storage areas underneath the kitchen sink. Hanging storage is really convenient when you’re living in a small space and frees up other storage areas for larger items. That’s primarily why this camper conversion caught my eye, but when I looked more closely, I started noticing little things like all the hooks for hanging optional equipment in the kitchen. Photo: For the record, I’m a huge fan of brightening up truck campers and really the interior of any RV using white cabinetry, whether you’re painting the cabinets or installing completely new ones. And one of the features you can’t quite see is that this camper boasts a stainless steel fridge and freezer. That allows this RV to sleep up to four people comfortably, which is uncommon in most truck campers.Īnd once your eyes make it all the way to the top, you’ll notice the durable Shou Sugi Ban tongue and groove ceiling around the skylight, air conditioning unit, and roof vent. ![]() ![]() The cushion arrangement on the couch and dining table can be laid down to create a second bed. That bed over the cab looks supremely comfortable, but there are actually two beds in this camper. Then you have the beautiful teak wood countertops and the deep kitchen sink with a sink cover to increase the overall counter space when you’re cooking or hanging out. Truck Camper Interior Idea #2 from Talk about a truck camper with a modern feel! I mean, where do your eyes go first? Mine went to the accent LED lights on the cork floor and the fact that the owner decided to install a door that allows you to climb right from the truck into the camper without going outside. But I love how she installed privacy screens (they look like some sort of Dyneema fabric) on either side so there’s less of a direct view into her living and sleeping area. That flooring just looks better than a standard truck bed floor, but I’m sure it also feels less chilly on her feet first thing in the morning.įinally, one of the best features of camping in this type of truck camper is the ability to keep the rear hatch and tailgate open to your view. If you look closely at the new flooring she installed, you’ll notice she added plenty of insulation as well. She’s maximized the space with a small bed, a kitchen, a book nook, and space for her 6-volt battery and charging station. Starting at the top, I love the wooden roof that makes the space feel like you’re not sleeping in a truck bed. No, you can’t stand up inside, but look how cute it is! And nothing quite demonstrates that principle more than this beautiful customized camper shell. A post shared by Vanlife Inspiration your camper into a cozy tiny home is about making more with less. Car wrapping price8/10/2023 ![]() The other thing to keep in mind is that by wrapping your car, you will save money in other areas such as paint and body maintenance. However, if you are looking for a partial car wrap such as a bonnet or a roof, this will be significantly less in price. On average a full car wrap will start from around $3000. So, how much does it cost to wrap a full car?Ĭar wrapping cost is really dependent on your vehicle size, the type and of course on the vehicle wrapping company. If you are looking to wrap your car at your local vinyl installer, be sure to ask the brands that they utilise to guarantee the longevity of your car wrap. Trusted brands such as 3M, Avery and Hexis manufacture high-quality and durable vinyl. Due to its temporary nature, you will not need to notify RMS or equivalent and therefore, no paperwork is necessary to turn your car from plain white to a striking chrome wrap! Not only is a vinyl car wrap cost effective, but it can be super customised however you want it and, it can also be easily removed if you do decide to change colours or sell your car in its original form. It could be applying a carbon fiber look to your bonnet, all the way through to a window wrap or even just a door handle! Vinyl wrapping is not limited to just cars either, you could opt for a truck wrap, boat wrap or even on your motorcycle. ![]() Generally, a partial wrap would be opted for if you’re looking to add more style or personalisation to your car. This type of wrap follows the same process, but as you’d expect only applies to certain areas of the car. Alternatively, you might opt for just a partial wrap. It’s fairly common that people will opt for a full car wrap as this will completely cover and overhaul the original paint whilst also protecting it from the elements. The final task includes preparing the surface of your car and ensuring each edge is cut to fit every single panel. Then, the vinyl layer is laminated to protect it from abrasions or scratches and UV damage. Then, if you are choosing a graphic overlay, measurements would be taken so that the design and finish are proportionate and match properly, followed by choosing the colour. When a car gets wrapped, first a coat of plastic vinyl is stuck over the paintwork. Rather than using paint, car wrapping is the process of applying adhesive vinyl wrap film to any smooth surface on your car. This type of vehicle signage is still widely used, however, it’s now becoming increasingly popular with normal car owners that are looking for an alternative to a paint job. They would tend to use a vehicle wrap design based on their logo being displayed across their rear window, or even vinyl lettering that promotes their contact details and website across the side of a truck. Businesses use wrap advertising primarily to make their cars or fleets of trucks stand out on the road. Historically car vinyl wrap has been used mostly for advertising purposes. In this blog, we’ll aim to give you a good guide on how much it costs to wrap a car. If you are a car owner and feel like your car’s paintwork is looking a little on the dull side, but you do not want to commit to a new paint job that could cost thousands, then a vinyl wrap could be the perfect solution for you. The concept of vinyl wrapping cars has been around for many years but is becoming an increasingly popular and cost-effective way of giving your vehicle a cosmetic upgrade.
